Your new role
The role of Operations/Business Manager reports to the Site Director and will involve the day to day management of a team of supervisors, team leaders and operators of a busy facility. As the Unit lead you will have full P&L responsibility for your designated Business Unit with accountability for work stream, channels and services, ensuring budgetary targets are met whilst maintaining world-class levels of service delivery to customers. You will be directly responsible for the activities of sales/key accounts within your business area, you will develop strong customer relationships by understanding services needs and translate those needs into commercially successful processes to achieve maximum growth within your business area.
You will have full ownership of analysing every aspect of production within your business area, implementing lean processes where applicable, ensure all profit drivers are visible, monitored and optimised, focused specifically on average parts spend per job, bounce, parts of BOM setup, usage of alternative parts sources, pricing and warranty claims.
People are at the heart of any successful organisation, and you will champion the development of people and process solutions and be proactive in adopting best practice to enhance business effectiveness through the successful implementation of new ideas and technologies.
What you\'ll need to succeed
You will have gained experience of operating and running a production-based facility, with proven financial acumen, and be able to evidence experience in profit and loss and production based, KPI\'s. Being very much a customer focused role, we are seeking strong business development skills.
Suitable backgrounds include component manufacturing, including electrical appliances or similar FMCG-based organisations.
