Overseeing a highly efficient transport operation that focuses on exceeding customers' expectations and giving the highest levels of customer service, you will be the working closely with the Operations Director to ensure the efficient movement of goods across the UK, EU & Ireland. Operating a large fleet, this role will focus on efficiencies across the transport team, as well as identification & implementation of further processes and protocols to ensure the business is at the forefront of the logistics industry.

The Role

• Overseeing the UK & EU Transport Operation
• Leading, managing and motivating the transport team to deliver on the strategic and operational objectives.
• Identification & implementation of business changes to increase operational efficiencies.
• Manage SLAs to key accounts
• The management of Operators Licence Compliance.
• Transport Team People Management
• Full oversight & responsibility for the departmental budget.
• Create a positive work environment across the site, ensuring KPI targets are achieved.
• Manage the overall performance, to ensure activity is recorded and measured to optimise efficiencies

You will need:

• You will be an experienced Operations Manager with a background in Road Transport and/or Logistics environments
• Highly competent and knowledgeable within IT & Systems relevant to the Logistics industry
• Effective management and leadership skills
• Adaptable and Flexible
• Well organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Experience in a Customer facing role
