In a full-time permanent position based on 2 sites, you will directly report to the Head of Manufacturing. As the incumbent, you will assume responsibility for all operational functions, particularly in production and overseeing the overall sites. As a senior member of the Business Unit, you are expected to provide high-level reports and contribute to strategic decisions through effective management.

- Overseeing Manufacturing Operations at two sites!
- Taking charge of Health & Safety, quality, target adherence, and process adherence.
- Collaborating with the mid-level management team to enhance quality and efficiency across the plant.
- Spearheading continuous improvement, innovation, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Cultivating a culture where health and safety is the top priority.
- Managing and supporting all operational activities on-site to achieve Production, Quality, and Health and Safety targets.
- Providing direction, motivation, and support through effective management of direct reports.
- Leading the development and implementation of quality procedures and fostering a continuous improvement culture in manufacturing processes.
- Ensuring adherence to company H&S procedures across the site.
- Playing a pivotal role in continuous improvement and root cause analysis.
- Actively seeking ways to reduce waste and minimize costs in collaboration with the Finance Department.
- Coordinating with various departments to ensure timely and high-quality product manufacturing.
- Maximizing yield and productivity by managing the factory's capacity.
- Implementing robust stock management and meeting working capital targets.
- Collaborating with engineering and procurement on stock and Bill of Materials accuracy.
- Clearly communicating expectations to the production team and conducting performance appraisals.
- Developing the skills and competence of the production team through performance management processes, including coaching and communication.
- Challenging, mentoring, and coaching individuals while also questioning processes and practices within the company.
- Investigating production issues and developing effective resolutions.
- Employing environmentally sustainable practices in alignment with the company's environmental policy.
- Seeking ways to reduce waste and energy usage in line with environmental objectives.
- Ensuring monthly updates to the Site Environmental Reporting Process via the 'Diligent' system.
- Managing the Maintenance Team to enhance Operational Effectiveness by minimizing machine and plant downtime.
- Preparing and submitting Capex requests in accordance with operational requirements.
Profile
- Demonstrated five years of senior management/supervisory experience, showcasing a keen desire and ability to understand the intricate details of the working environment.
- Extensive multi-site experience in managing sizable manufacturing facilities with 50 or more employees.
- Successful history of leading process improvements through the application of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, TPM, Kanban, and other tools/methodologies.
- Proven track record of achieving performance targets in key areas such as quality, delivery, and cost.
- Proficient in decision-making, execution, and subsequent analysis of decisions.
- Knowledge and experience in managing operational budgets, including P&L.
- IT literate with a strong command of Excel and familiarity with ERP/MRP systems.
- Capability to coordinate activities across a large team and collaborate effectively with other functions.
- Effective communication and motivation skills.
- Strong decision-making capability.
Job Offer
