An Operations Manager is actively sought to ensure exceptional management and delivery of all Operations.
Reporting into the Managing Director, this departmental manager position will require tenacity and efficiency to consistently ensure the department is managed effectively. Working with and alongside Agents of AEC Protection, this position will have a strategic focus on Consultancy Projects, HR and Business Development. A strong ability to prioritise, multitask, brief and delegate will be essential to meeting targets and overall position performance.
Providing management direction and support to the business, the Operations Manager will work in parallel to the Head of Training and shall have full and final responsibility for Operations Departmental Line Management, including team member performance, shift fulfilment, deployment of personnel and quality assurance. Furthermore, the Operations Manager will champion health, safety and welfare, key-holding and alarm response and event delivery.
As a trusted point of contact, the Operations Manager will liaise directly with Clients, generate sales leads and regularly visit Clients premises to ensure the service level is consistent and exceeding of Clients requirements.
Position Requirements
The Operations Manager shall work full time at 45 hours per week, based in Romsey. Weekly travel to Clients premises will be required and as directed by the Managing Director, working hours may vary in accordance with the requirements of the business and its Operations, as such there may be a requirement to support operations at other sites. During events season, there is an expectation that the Operations Manager will support and represent AEC Protection
We are looking for someone with 2 years of Line Management Experience in an operational role.
Position performance criteria is to…
- Deliver against a departmental budget and sales target for KHAR and events,
- Establish and maintain an appropriate shift fulfilment standard,
- Ensure shift fulfilment is completed and resilient to that standard,
- Maintain a thorough understanding of IT infrastructure and systems,
- Sign off all logistics plans for kit and equipment distribution, issue and servicing,
- Manage and review operational documentation and administration in accordance with set requirements,
- Design, produce and deliver event management plans where required,
- Develop efficient ways of working across all business operations,
- Report weekly to the Managing Director on department performance, challenges and objectives,
- Ensure overall service delivery across the client portfolio exceeds expectations,
- Act as an escalation point for all business matters including operational and employment-related concerns,
- Support other managers or agents of the business where necessary,
- Champion and lead the business on health, safety and welfare, obtaining an industry recognised qualification,
- Lead on external complaint handling and maintain a sufficient reporting system,
- Generate and support with overall business development.
