Operations Manager

Scout Recruiting is working alongside a local Charity in Stamford to recruit for an Operations Manager. The Charity is committed to helping the community by combatting food waste and feeding people in sustainable ways.

This is a newly created part time role 20 hours a week. Salary is £(phone number removed) and you need to be free to work flexibly over 5 days including every other Saturday.

The ideal person would have experience of managing and working alongside volunteers, able to put structure and processes in place and keep moving this amazing charity forward to achieve its goals and ambitions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordination of volunteers to effectively deliver the project’s current and future aims
• Effective internal and external communication
• Ensure monitoring of food collections, customer numbers etc.
• Purchasing equipment
• Participate in supporting and delivering a consistent response to concerns and compliance
• Produce a rota of Pantry volunteers, including emergency cover
• Security of premises access, data and money
• Support volunteers and Team members in bringing forward new ideas, voicing concerns and growing the project.
• Develop and maintain inclusive relationships with volunteers, customers, suppliers, other organisations and charities.
• Monitor ongoing training and compliance for volunteers.
• Provide holiday cover for banking cash;
• Ensure that all policies are implemented.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with the local church.
