Due to company growth, we are looking to appoint an Operation Manager to support the General Manager to deliver operational excellence across the warehouse, customer service & training divisions.
- Salary up to £50,000pa
- Monday to Friday 08:00 to 17:30 – Flexibility needed as site is a 24-hour operation

As the Operations Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our warehouse distribution site. You will work with the warehouse shift managers to ensure inventory management to order fulfilment is achieved . We are looking for proactive, forward thinking team player with strong communication and leadership skills. Working in a very fast-paced environment you will need to have the ability to prioritise quickly and efficiently.
You will use your experience within a Distribution /Supply chain / Logistics environment , you will need to lead process improvements to streamline operations alongside reducing costs by reducing waste activities in the operation. You will have a proven track record of operational improvements, achieving fulfilment targets and leading a team to utilise our warehouse management systems and inventory control processes.
Operations Manager :The Role
- Deliver the day-to-day management of all Warehouse related activity, ensuring goods in, pick, pack, replenishment, and outbound are working collaboratively across the operation
- Manage the warehouse operational teams to ensure high levels of productivity, accuracy and timeliness are delivered, continuously raising standards vs. KPIs
- Provide leadership and guidance in terms of the creation of a high performance, engagement and continuous improvement culture
- Support the General Manager in terms of the strategic plan for the site and undertake forward planning to meet current and future customer needs
- Actively drive and champion the highest standards around H&S, creating a robust reporting and root cause identification culture
- Proactively identify the skills and resources required, to meet operational needs over the following weeks and months, adhering to budgeted performance and headcount targets.
- Own the ‘customer’ relationship with branches and online customers, through an engaged and responsive operational / customer services team
- Support the General Manager in formulating site budgets and future equipment / systems requirements
- Drive an open, continuous improvement mindset within the operational team, investigating root causes behind issues and delivering actions to address
- Participate in business projects as required, designed to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of Logistics and Supply Chain Management
- Develop an in-house training team, ensuring skills and knowledge are kept in line with the latest SOPs and all legislative requirements are met
