I have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Operations Project Manager to join our client, who are a Global Financial Organisation, on 6 month contract initially, with an immediate start. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years experience as a PMO, preferably within a financial establishment. This role will offer hybrid working from the Glasgow city centre office, working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home. The hours of work are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm. The salary will range from £17per hour- £20.50per hour, depending on experience.
This role involves providing project management support to the key operations team, driving strategic changes in their tax operational processes. The successful candidate will work closely with five Product Owners and a Product Lead to ensure effective communication with stakeholders and oversee the delivery of 2-3 specific initiatives.
You must be able to pass a Basic Disclosure and Credit Check to be successful for this opportunity.
Duties and Responsibilities will include:
- Assist in creating the monthly fleet steering committee slide deck by coordinating with the product lead and owners to ensure high-quality, effective reporting
- Project manage 1 large project in particular, coordinating the fleet-level deliverable, including budget cycle requests, key performance indicators, Rally updates, and project updates for governance purposes
- Support product owners and leadership teams with initiative planning, resource allocation, and road mapping as needed
- Lead 2-3 smaller specific work streams, including implementing a vendor-created tool to drive change within the operations organisation
Experience required for this role:
- Prince2 or Prince2Agile qualified: Foundation & Practitioner
- Experience & knowledge of operational taxes such as Financial Transaction Tax, With holding Taxes and Capital Gains
- 5 years minimum PMO experience
- Experience of using Rally & JIRA
- Proven experience to deliver senior stakeholder level reporting with excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organisation and set out necessary project governance, goals, planning and metrics
- Excellent Powerpoint skills and comfortable with manipulating & analysing data in Excel using Pivot Tables, Vlookups, Charting functions etc
