As operations Supervisor, you will provide technical support on commercial proposals as well as supervise upcoming and ongoing projects and operations. You will make sure that all areas of the operation are running smoothly including the preparation and mobilization of workers and equipment, ensuring successful completion of projects in line with customer needs.

We are looking for an experienced IRATA level 3 to help supervise our operations and also act as the IRATA Technical Authority / Rope Access Manager. You will ensure that the company remains compliant to IRATA and ensure that operations are running smoothly, including the preparation and mobilization of workers and equipment.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • As IRATA Technical Authority / Rope Access Manager, ensure that company is IRATA compliant and conducting necessary audits.
  • Keeping all IRATA documentation and Certification up to date.
  • Ensuring operational safety and certification of all equipment.
  • Daily Communication with clients about ongoing and upcoming projects, including follow up meetings and site visits.
  • Take receipt of incoming project enquiries and share with SIS team to ensure project is dealt with in best possible way.
  • Assist sales team with required technical input for preparing quotations.
  • Source, Identify and verify qualified personnel for projects.
  • Brief mobilizing supervisors / project teams prior to mobilization.
  • Work with operations team to ensure that projects are planned properly and correct personnel / equipment is mobilized.
  • Inspection of equipment and packing of toolboxes / containers when required.
  • Maintain communication with on site teams and liaise with relevant NOV departments to address any issues that may arise.
  • Update and maintain SIS personnel and rope access databases.
  • Normal working hours are 8am -5pm, Monday to Friday, however the candidate will be expected to work outside of these hours as and when the job requires.
  • Travel as and when required.
  • Scope of work may be adjusted if operations or admin duties are required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • HNC in an Engineering discipline or equivalent is preferred but not essential.
  • Familiar with Inspection, repair and maintenance of drilling equipment and structures.
  • Current or previous IRATA Level 3.
  • PPE Inspector is preferable.

EXPERIENCE:

  • Ample experience in a derrick building or NDT background.
  • Sufficient experience in relevant field
  • Background in Derrick Building or NDT
  • Familiar with NOV Drilling Equipment and procedures

SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE:

  • Able to understand, evaluate and apply technical information to secure orders in line with the business strategy.
  • Able to keep abreast of an evolving portfolio of products and services.
  • Be quick to identify critical information and respond appropriately.
  • Strong organizational skills to ensure project requirements are fully met.
  • Adept at exercising good judgement (sometimes with incomplete information) whilst being constrained by tight deadlines.
  • Quickly identify the critical tasks and maintain focus.
  • Able to inform and coach technical and non-technical team members.
