Operations Support Manager

Salary: Up to 28,000
Working days: Monday to Friday
Location: Congleton
Key Duties:
To be responsible for day-to-day people management alongside the Operations Management Team e.g., approving holidays, appeasing minor complaints, and maintaining harmony.
Organising international shipping - comparing prices, booking jobs in, and preparing documentation.
Procurement of materials when required, and compare prices periodically to ensure we are getting the most competitive rates.
Assist with periodic appraisals, reviews, and disciplinary action as and when required, including completing HR paperwork alongside General Manager.
Identifying and organising relevant training for all staff based on feedback and performance evaluation with the agreement of the General Manager.
To ensure that Health & Safety regulations are being met by all departments, and all members follow company rules as required. Including completing inductions and health and safety paperwork.
To liaise with any contractors in the building where necessary and to be available on the infrequent occasion where an 'out of hours' issue arises.
To assist with monthly stock takes and update the system as required.
Supervising the warehouse operations in the absence of the Production Manager.
The ideal candidate will bring with them experience in people management, knowledge of HR best practice, manufacturing experience, health and safety experience, strong communication skills and strong teamwork skills.
