OPS Hourly Non-Secretary/Clerk
Job DescriptionThe focus of hospital cleanliness is to provide an uncompromising level of cleanliness throughout the facilities while creating a safe and accident-free environment. This will ensure the ability to maintain a productive, organized service in preparation to attend to clients and patients as well as preventing infection and cross contamination. The overall aesthetics of the hospital is a direct reflection on the high-quality care we provide so it is important the areas are kept in pristine condition. Areas to maintain include designated department/service treatment rooms and exams rooms along with communal areas when needed.
Examples include, but are not limited to:
Sweeping and mopping floors daily and as needed
Taking out trash and recyclables as needed
Ensuring cages and runs including drains, grates, and doors are cleaned daily and as needed
Processing laundry as needed
Disinfecting and cleaning equipment regularly
Maintaining equipment within the hospital as applicable to this position and reporting broken or malfunctioning equipment to the appropriate manager
Reporting broken or malfunctioning infrastructure to the appropriate manager and requesting work orders as directed
Maintaining inventory and replenishing stock on a regular basis
Checking supply expiration dates as needed
Practicing appropriate infection control measures in cleaning areas under the position's purview when biohazardous areas are presented.
Expected Salary$15/hr
Minimum RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred QualificationsAbility to work weekends and nights.
