What is the opportunity?
This role, will be supporting the Compliance team, leading the project management of the Monitoring and Testing workstream of the initiative across Canada, US, UK and Asia Pacific. The Compliance Project Oversight Manager will also act as Business Analyst resource, providing support to delivery of local initiatives supporting enhancement of oversight (i.e. Monitoring, Testing and Surveillance) processes.
What will you do?
- Perform all usual duties of a Project Manager in accordance with policy, methodology and artifact creation. This includes resource requirements, project dependencies, planning and progression, financials management, status reporting, effective communications, ongoing risk assessment, adaptation and implementation.
- Accountable for managing the project lifecycle, consistently demonstrating sound judgement and ownership of the project process and ensuring that all deliverables are aligned with the bank’s objectives.
- Implement completion of all project deliverables including liaising with M and T Workstream members and key internal stakeholders to ensure ongoing monitoring of the change implemented.
- Communicate with sponsors and appropriate committees through preparation of presentations and status updates, under the supervision of initiative leads.
- Successfully inform and influence key stakeholders to promote success of project prioritization, senior and executive leadership through times of ambiguity, and obstacle management.
- Ensure that all deliverables achieve compliance for the organization, meet the objectives of the project, are in line with best market practice and can withstand formal regulatory scrutiny.
- Participate in the enhancement of the global M and T program, methodology, governance and tool through close interaction with the global RCM program team.
- Document the methodology, procedures and supporting documentation, which may subject to external review, is undertaken to a high standard and attention to detail.
What do you need?
- Educated to degree level and/or have significant specialist knowledge.
- Prior experience of successfully delivering regulatory projects within financial services.
- Take initiative, to set the vision for the project, anticipate and resolve conflict, motivate, negotiate and coach so that project objectives are met.
- Delivery focused, comfortable with hard deadlines. Ability to multi-task in fast paced environment.
- Ability to negotiate and drive consensus across multiple stakeholders.
