The P2P team provide a full accounts payable service to clients from invoice capture right through to payment. We provide a customer-focused, outcome-measured service. As the P2P Payments Team Leader you will lead, develop and inspire a team of people, ensuring the effective delivery of the purchase to pay service. You will support effective performance and efficiency methodology to managing a challenging high profile workload and complex delivery model.

The role is remote and you will travel to our office in Leeds once a month to collaborate with the team.

What you'll be doing:

  • Respond positively to feedback by proactively reviewing processes, procedures and practices ensuring the needs and expectations of collaborators are met.
  • Work co-operatively and maintain effective collaborations, internally and externally
  • Demonstrate a flexible demeanor to change which will support P2P in meeting existing and future needs.
  • To motivate and inspire teams
  • Responsible for dealing effectively with queries from both internal and external customers
  • To hold regular 1:1 performance and development conversations.
  • Setting realistic, and stretching targets objective as part of the annual Performance Development Review
  • To constantly analyse and evaluate feedback to make sure ‘best-in-class service delivery’ is achieved.
  • Consistent delivery and achievement against targets as set out by the Operations Manager.
  • Proactive review of department, and client processing data to prepare reports and analyses of which processes are working and which can be improved.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in line management, preferably within a Transactional Processing environment
  • Goal-oriented - ability to work with tight deadlines in an ever changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Able to investigate and resolve issues thoroughly, providing root cause analysis
  • Proactive approach to change management

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience of working in a Shared Service environment
  • Very strong understanding of relevant ERP system e.g. Oracle
  • Able to present to others
  • Experience of conducting 1:1s and end of year reviews
