The Role: The Paralegal position within the Private Wealth team is crucial for supporting legal professionals with administrative tasks. Strong commercial awareness and understanding of clients' needs contribute to team success. The team handles diverse Private Client work, including will preparation, powers of attorney, trusts, probate, and tax planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering probate, including correspondence with institutions
- Managing payment of liabilities and legacies
- Handling receipt of funds and preparing powers of attorney
- Assisting with attorney and trust administration matters
- Managing file organisation, archiving, and billing
- Compiling and maintaining bibles of documents
- Attending client meetings for document signings
- Building and maintaining effective client relationships
- Proactively contributing to marketing initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with Lexcel procedures in file management
