-Are you passionate about connecting people to the natural world? Do you know about the species found around our coastline? We are looking for someone who can engage people about the marine habitat, and become part of the Croyde Ranger Team.
This post is a unique opportunity for someone to gain significant experience within habitat conservation and in providing nature engagement activities whilst working in some of Devon's most important and beautiful habitats. The successful applicant will assist in running our popular programme of nature based outdoor activities including beach cleans, rockpooling, pond dipping and bug hunting. They will also be working as part of the Ranger Team protecting and enhancing the beautiful habitat of the Croyde Coast. The team undertake a variety of practical conservation work, as well as looking after the running and maintenance of Croyde Beach. Habitats you will be working on include Croyde beach and sand dunes, lakes, wildflower meadows and more.
Skills:
The successful candidate must be passionate about nature, have excellent communication skills and have some experience supporting engagement activities. Knowledge of machinery used for land management, including power tools and ideally tractors, as tractor driving forma a key part of the role, is preferred. Tractor training will be organised if the candidate does not hold a City & Guilds Level 2 in Tractor Driving. A willingness to work outdoors in all weathers doing practical tasks is a must!

Salary: From £10.42 per hour
