A Parking Services Officer position is now available with Manchester City Council. This role is available immediately on an initial 6-month temporary contract.
What is the role?
The Council's Parking Services team are responsible for reviewing and responding to challenges for Parking and Bus Lane Penalty Charge Notices (parking and lane violation fines).
The team also administer Residents Parking Schemes for the city and support queries from applicants, manage cases, and undertake debt recovery where needed.
How can you help?
- Deal with a range of queries and correspondence, both written and verbal, to internal and external customers, acting as the first point of contact.
- Review and respond to challenges to Penalty Charge Notices and manage cases through the debt recovery process.
- Support the management of loading bays, street parking, and Blue Badge scheme contracts, violations, and applications.
What skills do you need?
- Excellent communication and inter-personal skills and be able to communicate effectively with people at all levels.
- A background of providing administration support, working to deadlines and good ICT skills.
