A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Part Time Accounts Assistant to join our market leading client based out of Derby.
This is an ideal role for someone for an experienced finance professional looking who enjoys working within a collaborative environment.
Reporting into the Company Accountant your main duties as Accounts Assistant will include but not limited to:
- Input of sales invoices from quotes raised by the sales team, dealing with queries on pricing, liaising with customers on delivery dates and times
- Request payments for non-account customers
- Credit check new account customers
- Monitor overdue invoices and chase customers for payments
- Check purchase invoices against purchase orders
- Month end supplier statement reconciliations
- Input purchase invoices
- Allocate daily bank payments
- Weekly reconciliations
- Answering telephone calls from main accounts
- Monitoring the accounts email inbox
Personal skills and preferred experience include:
- Fantastic communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work to deadlines, and manage any pressures involved
- Great team working skills, with the ability to work without supervision when required
- Previous experience of Sage online or Sage Line 50 desirable but not essential
Benefits and Hours:
- Salary between £24,000 - £30,000 (full time equivalent) depending on experience
- Monday to Friday
- 16 - 25 hours working week between 8:30am - 4:30pm
- 23 days holiday plus bank holidays
