Admin Assistant (Part-Time 3 days per week = 24 hours)
We are now looking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic Admin Assistant to join our client based in Central Manchester on a 3-Month Contract initially. The company has a broad and varied scope for projects both in the UK and internationally, and you will be part of a small but critical team making a huge difference to their client s mission.
You will have excellent organizational, administrative, and project management skills, very strong communication and interpersonal skills plus a can-do attitude. Responsibilities:
Database management and creation
Organising and hosting meetings online and in person
Continuously updating the volunteering opportunity platform
Engaging with the wider community
Supporting in producing and delivering events
Creating reports around readership and engagement
Promoting the foundation externally to raise the profile of the work
Working to develop and review all processes and procedures
Requirements:
Skills and Abilities - Essential
- Clear and concise written and spoken communication skills.
- Excellent listening skills with a can-do attitude, and a proactive, problem-solving approach.
- Great attention to detail, including grammar and spelling.
- Outstanding organisational and interpersonal skills and thrives on meeting exacting deadlines and delivering exceptional service to stakeholders.
- A calm, professional, welcoming approach with the ability to work under pressure.
- Experience in developing and managing databases
Skills and Abilities - Desirable
- Experience in using applications such as Hootsuite, Mailchimp, Doodlepoll,
- Design experience with Canva (or other design apps)
- Experience of working in a not for profit and also within the private sector, possibly having been self-employed.
- Previous events organisation and experience.

- Be self-motivated and a self-starter this role will be hybrid so you must be comfortable working alone as well as in a busy office.
- Be able to maintain a positive and cheerful demeanor to building excellent working relationships with a wide variety of colleagues and partners.
- Be very people oriented caring and considerate, a desire to be helpful and sort things out for people.
- Thrive on spinning many plates with a cool head and to empathise with those you are spinning them for.
- Willing to travel to London and occasionally work unsocial hours if business need dictates.
- Be a good team player demonstrating loyalty and commitment to the firm and your team.
- Must have a good working knowledge of; Powerpoint, Excel, Work, Outlook, social media platforms.
Salary: Based on GBP25k, pro rata GBP15k actual salary for the 3 days
Hours: 9 5 with an hour for lunch working Mondays and Tuesdays (flexible on the 3rd day but would need to be set)
Hybrid from the outset (although always a Tuesday in the office) if the role were to be made permanent at some stage for the right candidate there would be an induction process that would require all three days in the office for a number of weeks which would be arranged at that point.
