An established market leader on the outskirts of Guildford is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper / Accountant to join their friendly team. This part-time role offers great flexibility, a fantastic working environment, and stability for those looking for a new challenge in their finance career.
Day to Day of the Role:- Report directly to the Managing Director, with a supportive team of 2.
- Oversee the finance function, liaising with the external accountancy firm as needed.
- Manage daily financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments.
- Prepare monthly management accounts and provide insights into financial performance.
- Handle the preparation and submission of VAT returns.
- Conduct daily banking and reconciliation of all bank accounts.
- Prepare weekly cashflow reports and process weekly payment runs.
- Send out customer statements and resolve any related queries.
- Post payroll journals and manage pension contributions.
- Process staff expenses and credit card statements.
- Proven experience in a bookkeeping role.
- AAT qualification or Qualified by Experience (QBE) candidates will be considered.
- Experience with Xero is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial management.
