Job Description:
We are seeking a Part-Time Credit Controller to join a busy accounts team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing credit control activities, ensuring timely payment from customers, and maintaining positive relationships with clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct credit control activities, including contacting customers via phone and email to chase outstanding payments.
- Maintain accurate records of all communication with customers regarding payment reminders, disputes, and payment arrangements.
- Monitor overdue accounts and take appropriate action to recover outstanding debts promptly.
- Work collaboratively with other members of the accounts team to resolve customer queries and discrepancies.
- Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook for communication and data management purposes.
- Utilize accounts software to manage customer accounts and track payment history.
- Provide regular updates on credit control activities and outstanding debts to the Accounts Manager.
- Assist in the implementation of credit control policies and procedures to improve cash flow management.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a credit control environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Experience using accounts software, with knowledge of Pegasus Opera software being advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize workload effectively.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and debt recovery.
