SalaryRainbows Hospice for Children & Young People is based in Loughborough, Leicestershire, and is the only Hospice across the East Midlands that delivers a comprehensive range of support services, nursing and care for babies, children and young people with life-threatening and life-limiting conditions and their families. Our services are delivered at Lark Rise, in the community and in hospitals. Simply put, we’re here to brighten short lives, and support families, wherever they are.
We are currently looking for a talented part-time Director of Finance to join our Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the CEO, and working alongside our Board of Trustees. As Director of Finance, you will play a key role in supporting the development of the organisation’s business strategy, owning the strategic and operational finance requirements of the organisation, as well as managing the small finance team.
The demand for our services continues to grow, and we are committed to remaining ahead of the game. Therefore, we need the excellent skills of committed individuals who can help us grow the support we offer.
The Candidate
- Demonstrable and substantial experience in strategic financial management.
- A degree or equivalent level qualification supported by relevant experience.
- Relevant Financial Professional qualification to postgraduate level, i.e., ACA/ACCA or equivalent.
- Experience in reporting to and operating at the Board level.
- Experience in leading all aspects of financial management in a complex, multi-disciplinary environment.
- Experience in strategic risk management.
- Experience in developing and implementing long-term strategies, setting clear objectives and targets, and monitoring performance.
- Strong organisational, project and time management skills and commercial acumen.
