We are posting on behalf of an organisation based in Edinburgh, currently seeking a Finance Assistant to join their dynamic team.

Position: Finance Assistant

Salary: £27,764 (pro rata = £14.78 p/h)

Hours: 15-20 hours over two or three days

Location: Leith, Edinburgh

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable, process invoices, and maintain accurate records using Xero accountancy software.
• Support the Finance Manager in salary documentation, payroll liaison, and preparation for audits.
• Contribute to the improvement of outcomes through financial and administrative support.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: Previous experience in accounts payable is essential.
• Knowledge: Basic bookkeeping and accounting skills, along with relevant educational or professional qualifications.
• Skills: Competency in Xero, MS Office, and Office 365. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

Desirable Experience:

• Supporting payroll and annual audit of accounts.
• Knowledge of ApprovalMax and Hubdoc.

Conditions and Benefits:

• Minimum of 15 hours, up to 20 hours per week.
