Part time Finance Assistant/Bookkeeper
12 month Fixed Term Contract, paying GBP32-38k pro rata
International Management Consultancy based in the West End require a Part Time Finance professional to join on a 12 month contract.
Reporting into and working alongside Management Accountant and Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day tasks in the finance department and supporting the finance team where required. This role will be 3 days part -time with some flexibility in which days are worked, hybrid role with at least 1 day a week in the office.
Duties include:- Raising PO's, processing and posting of all supplier invoices in group
- Liaising with suppliers on AP queries on an ongoing basis
- Preparing weekly payment runs and managing aged creditors in line with payment terms
- Processing and posting all client invoices for the group
- Managing outstanding client invoices and chasing debtors
- Weekly bank posting and reconciliations
- Processing expenses on a weekly basis
- Management of payables/receivables inboxes; ensuring all mailboxes are up to date and actioned
- Assisting with month-end closure including posting journals and reconciliations
- Supporting balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with the year-end audit process
- Various other ad-hoc tasks
- Previous experience of working in a Finance Assistant/book-keeping role for at least 2-3 years.
- Strong attention to accuracy and detail
- Good interpersonal skills - ability to effectively communicate with team and business
- Strong IT skills: Microsoft Excel (intermediate level), Word, Outlook and Powerpoint
- Experience in using SAGE or Microsoft Dynamics software is desirable, but not essential
- Ability to interact well with people at all levels within the organisation
- Time and project management skills - able to plan and manage time effectively
- The ability to work well unsupervised
