Part Time Finance Director 2 Days Per Week

Our client, a small SME manufacturing Business in High Wycombe, is looking for a Part-Time Finance Director 2 daysper week to support the company through the next exciting phase of its growth journey. This business has a long history of success in its sector that has been underpinned by the development of a broad service offering which continues to grow. Due to this continued growth, there is a need to appoint an experienced FD to support and guide the business through this next period of exciting change.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage day-to-day financial operations
• Maintain and improve strong finance governance and financial control environment
• Challenge commercial business areas to maximise opportunities and ensure accountability
• Provide commercial & strategic support and decision-making across the business
• Ensure the finance reporting is best in class, fully compliant and provides meaningful commentary for senior management
• Strong support to the MD as part of a small senior management team in driving business growth

Experience Includes:

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Experience in a small SME manufacturing environment ideal
• Technically very strong but also strong commercial awareness
• Of an inquisitive nature to ensure you can identify areas of improvement and offer solutions
• Confident and clear communicator with an ability to support senior management
• Focus on maximising profitability
• Operational experience including R&D tax credits, HR, legal

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant and be a hands-on self-starter used to increasing profits within small businesses.. You will be an approachable finance team player, with a dedication to ensuring the finance function is working at its best. The role is based in High Wycombe and there is an expectancy to be in the office regularly but there is the flexibility of hybrid working as well.
