We are seeking a part-time Year 1 Teacher to join our vibrant Primary School near Kingston for 3 days a week. This role is a maternity cover starting at the beginning of the summer term in April. Teachers with KS1 teaching experience are warmly welcomed to apply. ECTs who have done teaching placements in Year 1 are also welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and inclusive lessons to Year 1 students, following the Key Stage 1 curriculum.
- Create a nurturing and supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages curiosity, exploration, and a love for learning.
- Work collaboratively with your fellow Year 1 Teacher to plan and implement a well-rounded curriculum that meets the diverse needs of students.
- Establish effective communication with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on students' progress and achievements.
- Foster a safe and stimulating learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic development.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong understanding and experience of working with the KS1 curriculum
- Enthusiasm for teaching and a genuine passion for the well-being and development of young learners
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team of educators
- ECTs (Early Career Teachers) and experienced teachers are welcome to apply
