Role Summary
The National Education Manager will support their team to engage with agreed targeted educators and leaders in what we provide and need to provide and enabling us to match local and national needs more closely with our programmatic offers. This role will also plan and support the educators and young people by ensuring engagement in our programmes.
Key Duties / Responsibilities:
Strategic Purpose:
· Lead on informing all Education Relationship Managers in their region on updates from the wider charity, will ensure consistency across the region, and support the team to be able to access resources to ensure young people engagement
· Support your team to recruit and onboard new targeted high need score educational establishments, large academies, multi academy trusts to work with us across all programmes.
· Plan and implement ways of working to enhance and deepen current education relationships, ensuring educator SLT buy-in.
· Drive consistency of approach across all education team in terms of school/college engagement and outreach methods.
Engagement:
· Line management of Education Relationship Managers
· Support your team plan priority actions and ensure there is a clear feedback loop to programme/delivery
· Supporting at regional and national events as and when required
· Design and deliver training for ERMs and wider charity colleagues to ensure cross understanding of our outreach function
Delivery:
· Report on all levels of school engagement as required by Head of National Education
· Collate new ideas and feedback on actions needed to help support further school and college engagement to support 3/5 day WEX delivery to their YP.
· Work across all programmes to develop a seamless journey for our educators.
· Support an increase in our focus on reaching high need young people.
· Be our experts in education, supporting all other directorates at SFS.
· Support the Head in identifying and managing partnerships to enable us to reach more education providers and YP.
· Supporting Head of National Education in identifying events to increase and deepen engagement with educators and young people, with a focus on educational senior leadership teams.

Skills / Experience / Knowledge:
Essential
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders from all levels
· Detailed knowledge of the UK Education System and a familiarity with careers provision and social mobility challenges within UK schools and colleges
· Strong organisational skills, including the ability to work to tight deadlines, manage multiple demands and deliver high quality work
· Ability to think strategically and embed feedback from schools into our wider education strategy
· Experience collaborating with other teams and departments to achieve common goals
· Experience reporting on targets/KPIs, using data and statistics to demonstrate team progress
· Experience using Microsoft packages, including Outlook
· Previous experience in team leadership and/or training & managing team members
Desirable
· Solid understanding of best practice in safeguarding and data compliance
· Experience identifying and collaborating on partnership projects with external stakeholders and organisations
· Experience using Salesforce to track relationships and metrics, and ensure proper data management
· Some knowledge of the North education landscape
