We are seeking to appoint a PA/secretary to support Prof. Sam Stranks and the Optoelectronic Materials and Device Spectroscopy group (https://www.strankslab.com/) based in the Department of Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology. The group's research focuses on next-generation energy materials technologies including new solar cell and lighting technologies.
The group is led by Prof. Stranks and consists of 40 researchers, including principal investigators (PIs), post-doctoral researchers, graduate and undergraduate students and visiting researchers with a variety of backgrounds including physics, chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering and electrical engineering.
This is an inclusive and diverse group driving a number of active outreach and widening participation activities. The group has multiple large interdisciplinary and collaborative international projects and state-of-the-art chemical, optical and electrical laboratories with a grant portfolio over £10M.
The role holder would provide PA/secretarial support to Prof. Stranks and related aspects of the group operations in order to ensure efficient management of his time, ensuring he and the group are best placed to achieve their scientific and educational goals.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 2 years in the first instance.
