We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one day less a week (or equivalent).If the trial is a success, we’ll be rolling the 4DWW out across the Group – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join #teamOFG!Job Title: Pastoral Classroom AssistantSalary: up to £21,000 per annumLocation: Brookthorpe Hall School, GloucesterHours: 40 hours per week, Monday - FridayContract: Permanent; Term TimeIf you really want to make your mark in a rapidly growing business that is committed to improving the lives of pupils, we have the role for you!We now have a fantastic opportunity for a Pastoral Classroom Assistant to join our team at Brookthorpe Hall School, Gloucester.Job Summary● Provide support and guidance to students in the classroom● Assist with the supervision of students outside the classroom in lunch and break times.● Enforcing school and class rules as and when required● Provide specific support to students with special educational needs often working 1-to-1 with a pupil or with a small group of students.● Assisting teachers in their lesson preparation – such as printing resources, photocopying and any other jobs needed● To be on call when needed to support students with managing their behaviour● To deal with daily pastoralbehaviour incidents at an appropriate level● Communicate any issues with appropriate members of staff such as the Pastoral Co-ordinator Form Tutors andor the Designated Safeguarding Leadteam.● Ability to provide advice and support to all students● Communicate with parents via telephoneemail andor meetings as and when requiredAbout the SchoolBrookthorpe Hall School is a specialist provision providing full-time specialised co-education for young people aged 7 to 16 with a range of complex needs, communication difficulties and associated challenging behaviour.
