Introduction
My client is a global leader in defence and nuclear capabilities, and they are looking for a Portable Application Tester to ensure safety to customer equipment.
You will be required to work on site and there will be some travel to other UK and international sites.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct application testing (PAT), mostly for desktop equipment.
- Maintain test data records .
- Ensure correct and accurate labelling.
- Identify and rectify minor faults/repairs.
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical installations.
Skills & experience
- Demonstrable working knowledge of electrical installations.
- Knowledge of hazard perception and risk involved working with electricity.
- Experience rectifying minor faults and undertake simple repairs at the point of test.
- City and Guilds 2377-22 Certification.
- Understanding of latest edition of the IET Approved Code of Practice (ACoP).
