What is the role?

This is an exciting opportunity for a part time Payroll Assistant to join the Group Finance Team working 3 days a week. This role reports into the Salaries Supervisor.

The purpose of the role is to assist with administrative duties within the Payroll Team.

The role will include:

• Processing and payment of monthly salaried staff and pensioners across our national group, including starters and leavers
• Dealing with employee enquiries and advising both employees and management on all aspects of payroll
• Assist with the setup of new starters, removal of leavers, pay calculations, HMRC reporting, sick pay and holiday recording, pay deductions

What we need from you?

• Previous experience in a high volume data input position within a finance department role or similar
• Payroll experience is ideal, however other finance experience is also relevant
• Accuracy and numeracy skills
• Experience using Microsoft Word & Excel
• Ability to work to tight deadlines and be flexible in the tasks undertaken.
• You must have a positive outlook together with a professional attitude.
