Our client, a leading business services company, is currently seeking a Payroll Assistant to join their dynamic team on a full-time, permanent basis.

As the Payroll Assistant, your pivotal role will involve ensuring the processing of employee wages and upholding compliance with payroll regulations to support the business effectively.

The responsibilities:

• Collect, compile, and accurately enter payroll data using appropriate software.
• Calculate and post all payroll deductions accurately, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Process payroll within established deadlines, maintaining accuracy and efficiency.
• Reconcile and thoroughly verify employee deductions to ensure correctness.
• Investigate and promptly rectify any payroll discrepancies or errors that arise.
• Update payroll records for changes such as pension auto-enrolment, loan payments, and salary adjustments.
• Efficiently handle new hires, terminations, and employee transfers in the payroll system.
• Accurately calculate and manage holiday entitlement, ensuring all entitlements are correctly recorded.

The candidate:

• Experience in payroll processing.
• Preferably CIPP qualified or equivalent experience.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Brightpay, Xero, Quickbooks, and Sage.
• Possesses analytical, methodical, and numerical skills.
