Here at Every Step Recruitment, Finance & Accountancy, we are excited to be working with a highly successful accountancy practice based in North London, who are recruiting for a Payroll Assistant on a full time, permanent basis. Please note, this is an office-based role Mon to Fri. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious individual to join a growing business and take on a pivotal role in the payroll department.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Processing weekly and monthly payrolls for a portfolio of clients using Payroll software
- Calculating and processing statutory deductions incl tax and national insurance
- Resolving employee queries regarding pay and benefits
- Processing auto enrolment pensions
- Assisting with year-end payroll procedures including P11D's and P60's
- General admin duties
Skills and attributes required:
- At least 18 months experience working in payroll in a UK accountancy practice or bureau
- Experience with Iris payroll (preferred)
- Excellent communication skills
- Confidence to liaise with clients
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently to deadlines
