As a Payroll manager, you will lead a small team of 3 colleagues to deliver the internal monthly payroll for 1,400 colleagues alongside managing rewards, benefits and pension schemes. Our integrated payroll & HR platform: Itrent is being re-implemented, and you will form an integral part on scoping out the processes and system flow to deliver a flawless service.
You’ll manage and deliver an accurate and compliant payroll whilst monitoring systems and processes to ensure these are fit for purpose. Working with HMRC guidelines you will ensure the payroll depart adhere to legal and employment contract requirements
Ideally you will have experienced Payroll manager, have solid experience of managing a similar sized payroll department coupled with and extensive knowledge of Itrent system. You will need to have excellent knowledge of UK tax regulations and laws and enjoy problem solving to analyse the root cause and suggest fixes to resolve issues as they arise.
Payroll manager - The Role:
- Manage and deliver an accurate and compliant payroll and benefits service, monitoring systems and processes to ensure accuracy
- Manage and complete all monthly and annual payroll tasks, enforcing and adhering to HMRC, legal and employment contract requirements
- Monitoring and supporting that the right financial governance and regulatory requirements are adhered to, enabling a fit for purpose, compliant payroll service
- Building and maintaining positive relationships with internal stakeholders and external providers
- Managing and developing the potential and performance of the payroll team to deliver an effective, knowledgeable, legally compliant payroll service within our company
