Payroll Specialist
Our client, a leading procurement company based on the outskirts of Norwich, are currently seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team, on a full-time permanent basis.
Working 37.5 hours a week, Monday - Friday.
As the Payroll Specialist, you will be working closely with the Payroll Manager, maintaining accurate end to end payroll processing of our client’s Member Payrolls and employee payroll. Our client strives to deliver a professional, efficient, and proactive service to their members and colleagues at all times.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Accurate processing of Member and Employees payrolls this includes weekly, monthly, four-weekly and fortnightly payrolls.
- Managing general enquires internally and externally to ensure a professional and efficient service is provided.
- Escalating any issues promptly to the Payroll Manager and assist as necessary.
- Proactively seek to identify effective solutions and improvements to our service.
- Maintaining and developing up to date knowledge of Payroll policies, procedures, and legislation.
- Assisting with audit processes.
- Maintain an appropriate record/filing system of all relevant information for audit purposes.
- Provide necessary documentation to HMRC (RTI), and also assist with the preparation and submission of all year-end returns to HMRC.
- Manage pension schemes and payments including auto-enrolment for associated companies and members, liaise with the company’s brokers.
- Prepare BACS files to make payroll related payments for employees and members.
- Support the Payroll Manager with any other payroll tasks as required.

Essential:
Skills
- Excellent IT skills including the use of Microsoft Office tools - particularly Excel
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritise your workload accordingly.
- Strong attention to detail
Experience
- Experience using payroll software
Knowledge
- Up to date and clear understanding of payroll legislation, HMRC regulations and auto enrolment requirements and returns

- Previous experience within a similar payroll position in a busy Bureau environment
Qualifications
- CIPP Level 4 or equivalent in a relevant payroll Qualification
Salary: Up to £28,000
