Payroll Specialist
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent
Location: Leicester
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Another Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Payroll Specialist. This is a permanent role supporting a fast-paced commercial business in Leicester.
The Role
As a payroll and benefits specialist, you will ensure the smooth operation of multiple UK and European payrolls through partnering with payroll vendors. You will ensure that all regulatory and legal requirements are met to a high standard and that excellent service delivery is maintained.

* Execute and oversee on-time, accurate monthly payroll to all team members within remit.
* Maintain payroll inbox responding to all queries in a timely manner.
* Prepare all input for payrolls flowing from numerous channels.
* Responsible for accurate and timely reporting, monthly/quarterly/annual returns
* Support payroll audits as required.
* Use own initiative to resolve issues and to assist the team where possible.
* Support/manage payroll projects.
* Review net salary calculations as part of pre-payroll validations.
* Release and validate payments files to payroll vendor and internal finance.
* Working with external payroll vendors and HR to ensure timely and accurate payment to team members.
* Maintain confidentiality at all levels and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential, adhering to GDPR regulations.
* Maintain, update and help create relevant Payroll policies and procedures.
* Actively respond to queries from payroll vendors, HR Business Partners, employees, and external agencies such as HMRC.
* Maintain the payroll procedures manual which summarises payroll policy and rules.
* Ensure correct treatment of stock vests and sales through payroll.
* As directed, work with other payroll teams globally to consolidate and analyse data as required.
* Collaborate with payroll vendors to ensure applicable deductions made accurately.
* Work with multiple vendors to deliver ongoing benefits to team members and ensure a good team member experience across multiple countries.
* Enrol starters/administer leavers to benefit programmes as required.
* Ensure reporting compliance where required including the preparation of benefits data feeding into P11D's.
* Work with Compensation and Benefit manager to ensure tax compliance for team members moving globally, both short term and long term.
* Supporting the application of the Company's Global Mobility Policy
Skills Required
* Proven experience operating as a payroll professional, preferably gained within a fast-paced commercial environment.
* Experience and knowledge of benefit packages, including pension, and preferably experience of working with brokers.
* Knowledge of UK and European payroll legislation and rules
* Excellent attention to detail
* Good written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, succinctly and professionally at all levels.
* Experience of working to tight deadlines and the ability to handle competing demands for
* service
* Strong excel skills (Vlookups, Pivots) essential.
* Able to process large volumes of data quickly and accurately.
