Payroll Team Leader

Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join our busy and vibrant team in Milton Keynes.
Ideally, you will have at least 3 years payroll experience with a payroll technician certification or working towards, and demonstrate experience in working in a high volume environment.
Your responsibilities will include:

• Manage team and workload to ensure all work is processed in a timely manner
• Accurately check other administrators work to ensure 100% accuracy in all input.
• Training and mentoring of team
• Manage the upload of Leaver planner, bulk absence and exceptions
• Month end reporting (Costing, Staff listing etc.)
• Ensure all exception reports are checked pre payroll run
• Ensure all variable data has been accurately input for the payroll run and balanced at final checking stage
• Ensure that all pre Gross to net checks are performed to a high degree of accuracy and feedback is provided to Manager where repetitive issues are spotted.
• (not checking as this should be done by specialist) Approve faster payment calculations from the administrators for payment outside of the normal payroll.
• Ensuring awareness of internal and external audit items that are raised when auditors have been in, to ensure that you are aware of any process changes.
• Complete pension reconciliations
• Teams escalated queries
