Our client is a leading Property Developer looking for a People Advisor to join their HR function, with a real focus on Employee Relations.
To be successful, you must enjoy working in a collaborative and changing environment, be process driven and technically savvy when it comes to Microsoft Office skills. The role is pivotal in providing a proactive, empathetic, and accurate HR service in a generalist HR, ER case work, project work.
Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead and manage a number of employee relations cases such as Performance Management, Absence Management , capability, grievance and disciplinary at any one time. Escalating complex cases as appropriate to the Head of People Operations.
  • Delivery of a generalist HR advisory service to the Business, providing up to date and informed HR guidance on HR policies, processes and systems.
  • Assist with the end-to-end employee lifecycle processes. This will include supporting the People Admin team with onboarding and offboarding.
  • Managing the People team's group mailbox on a daily basis, as well as taking action on all people-related queries from the business, escalating to the Head of People Operations where appropriate.
  • Support the Head of People Operations and People Business Partner with the review and design and implementation of Policies and Processes to ensure that they are fit for business purpose.
  • Assist in the development of HR initiatives and help drive their implementation across the business.
  • Support the Head of People Operations with the implementation of a new HR system
  • Preparing management (MI) information and conduct analysis. This will include providing monthly dashboards for the board and local management meetings.
  • To support and deliver management with the necessary training and development needed in the people practice on delivering best practice.

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally, with confidence to communicate with all stakeholders across the business.
  • An empathetic approach - this role partners our people and we should put them at the forefront when working through people-related matters
  • Experience of working with low level and complex ER cases.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, agile and changing environment.
  • A developing knowledge of legislation and the practical application of the law
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a passion for dealing with open-ended, even ambiguous challenges.
  • Highly organised, flexible team player with excellent prioritisation, strong follow-up skills and an eye for detail.
  • Experience working with the HR systems is desirable.
  • Substantial experience working as a HR Advisor
