People Advisor
***3 Month Contract***
£27,000 – £28,000 per annum pro rate
We are seeking an experienced People Advisor to join the HR team. This is a great opportunity to provide a high standard, solution-focused and value-adding HR service to support the achievement of our organisational aims and objectives.
The key responsibilities include:
– Delivering an excellent recruitment and onboarding service for paid and volunteer roles
– Providing first-line advice on HR matters such as recruitment, absence management, performance management and compliance checks
– Proactively contacting new recruits to support their onboarding journey and induction
– Administering job adverts and utilising job boards
– Processing applications and maintaining recruitment records
– Ensuring all pre-employment checks are completed per employment legislation and policies
– Providing advisory support to line managers and employees on HR policies and procedures
– Advising on attendance management initiatives and occupational health referrals
– Offering guidance on maternity, paternity, adoption and parental leave
– Carrying out exit interviews and producing absence reports
– Managing recruitment, volunteer and employee documentation in line with GDPR requirements
The ideal candidate will possess:
– CIPD Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience
– Considerable HR department experience, particularly in recruitment campaigns
– Good knowledge of employment law and its application
– Excellent administrative, communication and organisational skills
– The ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and handle sensitive matters
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
