Are you ready to embark on a fulfilling career journey with Classroom Secrets? We're looking for a passionate People & Culture Administrator to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping our workplace culture and employee experiences.

This is a fully remote position, however we do like to meet up from time to time for in-person events and meetings. These can be anywhere in the UK (usually Halifax or Leeds) and you would be given plenty of notice beforehand.

What We Offer:

Impactful Work: You'll be at the forefront of building a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace environment where your contributions truly matter.

Team Collaboration: You'll be supporting our management and leadership teams, contributing to employee wellbeing, professional development, and productivity.

Empowerment: Your ideas will be valued and supported, giving you the freedom to make a real difference and see your initiatives come to life.

Professional Growth: Receive full support from day one with comprehensive on-the-job training and a structured onboarding plan. You'll have the opportunity to develop both generalist HR skills and specialised expertise over time.

Challenging Environment: Enjoy a role where every day presents new opportunities and challenges, allowing you to continuously learn and grow.

Your Responsibilities:

Embody Our Values: Live and breathe the vision, mission, and values of Classroom Secrets, contributing to a positive workplace culture.

Professional Development: Take ownership of your growth and development, seizing opportunities for learning and improvement.

Administrative Support: Assist in implementing and maintaining people and culture initiatives, policies, and procedures with precision and efficiency.

HR Operations: Manage employee records, handle HRIS data entry, and support payroll processing to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Recruitment Coordination: Coordinate recruitment processes, from job postings to candidate communications, ensuring a seamless experience for all involved.

Employee Support: Handle inquiries, assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, and provide support on HR-related matters to foster a positive employee experience.

Project Collaboration: Play a key role in People & Culture projects, collaborating closely with the team to deliver exciting initiatives and improve existing processes.

External Relationships: communicate with third-party freelancers and companies that support our internal processes.

Employee Wellbeing: Support the Wellbeing Committee in developing the wellbeing support offered to our colleagues and help to coordinate company activities and events.

What you offer:

Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Attention to Detail: Strong focus on accuracy and precision, especially in data entry and documentation.

Technology Proficiency: Competence in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and virtual communication tools. Experience with Zoho People is a plus.

Problem-Solving: Proactive approach to identifying and resolving HR-related issues and challenges.

Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.

Adaptability: Flexibility to thrive in a dynamic, small business environment.

Teamwork: Collaborative mindset to work effectively with colleagues and support cross-functional initiatives.

Reflective: Recognising and taking opportunities to maximise your role in addition to the duties listed on this job description

Self-awareness: Identifying your most productive time of day and ways of working, utilise this to have success in your role

Self-motivation: Ability to work pro-actively from home, reaching out to colleagues and managers for support when needed.

Requirements:

· Previous experience in HR or administration is beneficial, but training will be provided to the successful candidate.

· Keen interest in developing a career within the People & Culture field.

· Experience working in project teams is desired but not essential.

What you get:

· You get to make a difference in your role: everyone here does – each role counts. Our vision is to be the most trusted educational resource provider for teachers, schools, parents and tutors worldwide

· A friendly, flexible and relaxed working environment where people are encouraged to help and support you in your role and we take pride in our unique approach to remote working

· A challenging role you can make your own where no two days are the same

· The option to purchase up to 15 days extra annual leave (pro-rata for part-time)

· Regularly scheduled one-to-ones with your line manager as well as opportunities to have one-to-ones with the Senior Leadership Team to share feedback and make suggestions

· Weekly Personal Development Hour to focus on something you want to learn – it’s up to you!

· 6 months supported probation period including full role-specific training, training on the company, the education and ed-tech industries and support for teachers transitioning from the school environment. We also help you to set achievable goals during your probation period so that you know you are making an impact from day one!

· Access to our Colleague Development Toolkit which offers tools like internal and external training, in-house mentoring, coaching from qualified coaches and extra personal development time (to name just a few!)

· Every colleague has a Personal Success Plan, developed alongside their manager, to identify and take action to achieve their career goals

· Access to Internal Development Opportunities where you can learn new skills in addition to, or to compliment your existing role

· Wellbeing at Work Program – we take well-being seriously and have a dedicated Wellbeing Committee working to provide tools to support colleague well-being aligned to 5 key pillars (and backed by research); Social, Mental Health, Physical, Learn and Environment.

· Flexible working opportunities aligned to both your personal needs and business requirements to make it easier for you to get your job done!

· The option to work completely remotely, in the office, or a hybrid working mix of both! Occasionally you may be required to attend the office, or meet colleagues in a co-working space but you would be provided plenty of notice.

· Company Away Days
