Job description
Wasserman is forever committed to serving our clients, colleagues and community with exceptional insight, influence and creativity, while making a positive and lasting impact. We support our employees’ professional aspirations, with a rich internal culture where curiosity is rewarded. We offer our people multiple learning and development programs throughout the world. What we do is fast-paced, exciting and rewarding which is why we love it and why you’ll love life at Wasserman.
Join our team today!
We are no ordinary People team - we are on a relentless mission to create an inspiring place to work with a stand out culture, underpinned by extraordinary People activity. We need game changers, who are able to work in a fast paced environment, not phased by grappling with a challenge you may never have faced before or being hands on and taking personal responsibility to fix stuff. It’s all in the attitude, the passion about owning, delivering and improving. And most of all, playing a key role in an incredible team.
We take a ground-breaking and transformative approach to People and like to turn traditional ways of doing things on their head. Whether it relates to our learning platform (Stretch) with roots in sport psychology, our global charitable activity for World Down Syndrome Day, our agile cloud based performance and feedback tool (Perform) or our Grassroots apprentice scheme; we like to do things differently. We need people who are prepared to get stuck in and get rewarded for that.
We are still an entrepreneurial agency at our roots and whilst we are growing, we aren’t the kind of people team to sit in a remote office with the doors closed. Our people are people, they aren’t numbers.
This is a 12 month fixed term contract role based in our Orpington office.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Client group of around 200 people in the UK LIVE Business.
Responsibility for people ‘operations’ activity, ensuring an exceptional service for our people.
Line Management, guidance and development of a People Co-Ordinator
Create relationships at all levels in the client group, through regular catch ups and keeping an ear to the ground for day to day issues, so you can offer proactive, pragmatic and commercial solutions
Identify learning needs and embed solutions through our Stretch platform, whether Core skills, Team performance or Manager Kitbag development.
Encourage regular usage of our agile Perform goal setting, check-ins and feedback tool
Using Workday to the best advantage – whether it’s the analytics it provides or the ability to automate core processes.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
You need to know your stuff – good solid grounding in a generalist, client facing people role at People Partner level.
Ideally an understanding of sales or agency life – it is a special kind of world, where you have to demonstrate your commercial ability to operate effectively.
Excellent people management experience and skills – a fine attention to detail which you don’t let slow you down. The keen ability to help prioritise and with a deep understanding of the business priorities, you know how to maximise resource and operational efficiencies
Operationally strong, you won’t be restrained by needing to live in a policy based world but if we need to clarify our approach or update procedures or policies, you are able to lead on this with a culturally appropriate manner.
Resilient with a strong sense of team
You need to be commercial and work with the mindset of evidence based people activity
Experience having managed learning and development, performance and capability and/or diversity and inclusion projects will be amazing.
