People Support Advisor

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Operations Officer to join our team due to Maternity Leave for a period of approximately 6 months. You will act as the first escalation point of contact for all people related queries that are received by the department, supporting the HR administrator in manging the volume of general queries that are received on a daily basis. This will include providing advice on OD&P policy, NHS Agenda for Change terms and conditions of employment and working with our People Advisors to support employee relations and sickness absence management cases and the job evaluation process.
You will also be responsible for the timely action and appropriate administration of HR processes related to key employment law compliance including right to work documentation, visa and certificate of sponsorship renewals, and Disclosure and Barring (DBS) criminal record checks.
Key to the success in this role will be a customer orientated approach to People Operations service delivery. Good attention to detail and excellent Microsoft office skills (Word and Excel) in addition to a proactive and solution focused team based approach is also a must.
You should be educated to degree level or equivalent and you should be able to evidence of working towards your CIPD Level 5 qualification.
The role is full-time Monday to Friday and we offer hybrid working with an expectation that you will be based on site at least 2-3 days per week .
