In this role you will be a member of the People Technology Product team deploying, supporting and enhancing our People Technology platforms such as BeeLine, Totara and Fuel50, this role and team will grow as we further deploy and expand our People Tech platforms coverage geographically and capability.

Reporting to the People Technology Product Owner this role is responsible for providing an world class level of technical and process knowledge to support issues as they arise and lead the solution development and deployment enabling our users to drive more value from our People platforms. Working hand in hand with the wider WorkDay Services team and our vendors you will build relationships with our People Team and stakeholders as a source of expertise in People Technology. You will need to have excellent interpersonal skills to establish regular cadence and become a trusted partner for escalations and delivery of business requirements.

The People Technology team provides deployment & functional leadership, post go-live support and enhancement of the WorkDay HCM module and associated People Tech platforms, that replaces some of our core technology and influences our ways of working for many of our colleagues at WPP. This flagship programme will see global People Technology deployed across our global landscape to address the technology needs of of our People function – so essentially it touches all of our employees to some degree. The key to this programme is that technology is an enabler for change, it's at the heart of what we do, but it's not all of what we do. The people aspects of this programme are vital to its success. This role will help deliver that success on an ongoing basis for many years to come.

What you'll be doing:

  • Joint ownership of the roadmap for People Tech platforms outside of Workday, working closely with the CIO team to keep aligned with our stakeholders
  • Establish cadence with key stakeholders to review the service we as a team are delivering and manage the roadmap of enhancements to platforms
  • Maintain expertise on new functionality/features/capabilities and wider industry/HCM/technology trends
  • Expert in the art of the possible with People Technology and providing creative solutions
  • Oversee deployments of new and existing deployments as approved and aligned to our People Tech roadmaps ensuring on time and on budget deployments
  • Manage enhancements from concept to delivery – on time, on budget and exceeding customer expectations
  • Safeguard global design standards and principles against competing requests for change
  • Manage the service provided by our vendors and application providers to end users, ensuring WPP is receiving the maximum service and value from its vendor
  • Lead recommendations for continuous improvement including using technologies such as AI and RPA

What you'll need:

  • Global HRIS deployment and support experience in a complex organization
  • Outstanding understanding of human resources processes and systems in a global organisation
  • Team leadership and management of offshore teams
  • Strong ability to lead, inspire, engage, and coach a diverse team and create an inclusive culture across geographical boundaries
  • Develop trusted relationships with key stakeholders in IT and cross the wider WPP business, investing time to understand their needs, and helping to breakdown any siloes or resistance to deliver desired business outcomes
  • Creative solutioning and strong problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both with technical and non-technical audiences
