Performance & Intelligence Service Manager
4Recruitment Services are seeking a Performance & Intelligence Service Manager for our client based in Ashton Under Lyne.
You will be working in Children Services alongside the Special Education Needs team to help, access, improve services design with the aim to improve children’s lives.
You will need previous experience in a similar analytical role.
You should have experience of delivering BI, performance and intelligence projects on time.
An understanding of Children’s Services would be useful.
The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, hybrid working role.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- To identify the need for and lead intelligence initiatives, scoping and producing reports, briefing notes and other and supporting materials.
- To work with senior officers and members to identify performance issues.
To interpret legislation and develop performance activity to support compliance with key legislation and national, regional and local policy developments. - To drive the development of an intelligence lead approach to the development, delivery and commissioning of services.
- To deliver against statutory and non-statutory reporting requirements.
- To support the delivery of Tameside’s Children’s Services Improvement Plan including through the use of data and analytics to develop effective services.
- To support the delivery of the SEND Improvement Plan.
- To work with IT colleagues to develop and procure software systems to support the development of an intelligence led approach to services and commissioning.
- To work with IT colleagues on the development of data warehouse and data analytics to drive improvement and understanding of key issues across the organisation.
- To build and support a team in driving forward and intelligence led approach to the development of policy, delivery and commissioning of services.
- To undertake research and analysis, and prepare briefing notes and reports as and when required.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
- Previous experience working in a senior analytical role.
- Practical experience of delivering statutory returns within Children’s Services such as Child in Need Census, Looked after Children return, YOT and School Census.
- Experience of delivering BI, performance and intelligence projects on time and within resource constraints
- Proven track record of working with teams to support understanding and awareness of the use of business intelligence to support service delivery and change programs within Children’s Services.
- Knowledge and Understanding of the services and functions relating to Children’s services including mandated responsibilities
- High level knowledge of the design and use of information systems and reports.
- Detailed knowledge of public sector data flows and information systems
