Introduction: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Peripatetic Care Home Manager to join our clients team and provide operational leadership and management support across multiple Care Homes within our organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong leadership skills, a passion for delivering exceptional care standards, and the ability to adapt to various environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership: Provide operational leadership and management support to ensure the effective running of Care Homes within the organization. This includes overseeing day-to-day operations, implementing policies and procedures, and promoting a culture of excellence in care delivery.
Staff Management: Recruit, train, and mentor Care Home staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care to residents. Provide ongoing support and guidance to staff members, fostering a positive working environment.
Quality Assurance: Monitor and maintain high standards of care within each Care Home, conducting regular audits, assessments, and evaluations to identify areas for improvement. Implement action plans to address any issues and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
Resident Care: Oversee the delivery of person-centered care to residents, ensuring their individual needs, preferences, and dignity are respected at all times. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, residents, and their families to develop and review care plans.
Budget Management: Work closely with the finance team to manage budgets effectively, ensuring resources are allocated appropriately to support the delivery of quality care. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on care standards.
Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors by adhering to health and safety regulations, infection control protocols, and risk management procedures. Implement measures to minimize hazards and prevent accidents/incidents.
Communication: Foster open and transparent communication channels within and between Care Homes, promoting teamwork, collaboration, and information sharing. Keep stakeholders informed of developments, challenges, and successes.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for innovation and service enhancement, staying abreast of industry best practices, trends, and developments. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the quality of care and overall resident experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in a senior management role within the healthcare or social care sector, preferably within a Care Home setting.
- Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and decision-making skills.
- Sound understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards relevant to the care sector.
- A relevant qualification in health or social care management (e.g., NVQ Level 5, Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care).
- Ability to travel to different locations within the designated geographical area.
