About the role:
We are looking for a results-driven, self-motivated experienced Regional Manager to oversee the strategic and operational growth and management of a portfolio of homes based in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. We are looking for a natural troubleshooter and leader who will drive exceptional standards of care.
The Package:
Competitive Salary from £70,000 - negotiable depending on experience
5k car allowance
Quarterly bonus
The Role:
To be responsible for the effective supervision, development, performance management and motivational leadership to Home Managers in developing their careers with the Company in line with company policy reporting any action requirements to the Director of Operations and Quality.
To ensure the changing requirements of the Regulatory Inspectorate are understood and implemented by all reports including registered managers, who will also actively comply with all company policies and procedures.
To ensure that all reporting is compliant with Care Sector and Gold Care standards and deadlines: attend meetings as part of the Senior Management Team presenting your report analysis, development and quality structures throughout your region
To promote positive continuous improvement and growth within the business, by developing existing and potential areas of business, planning and developing new business opportunities and driving these forward where applicable
Be responsible for the Finances of your remit; inputting, agreeing and reviewing annual and capital budgets for all units
Operational- lead Home Managers in a directive and supportive role, to achieve and maintain maximum occupancy by sourcing potential client ‘intake’ in discussions with external; organisations’ and liaison with head office functions and ensure the implementation of Red/Amber/green alert plans
Regular visits to the home, workforce planning, ensuring Care Standards are met, compliance with all statutory and regulatory agencies, attend CQC Inspections where possible, complete quality audits when required.
Human Resources: to lead on ensuring all services and operations have equality, diversity and inclusion embedded. Design and audit the home recruitment methods, identifying strengths and areas to develop. Recommend new recruitment strategies that promote positive actions to highlight the strengths of the home and creatively resolve any weaknesses to optimise workforce number and skill. To effectively induct new Managers ensuring handovers are managed to optimum service delivery and compliance. To drive efficient and effective forward workforce-planning to ensure staff are appropriately recruited, inducted and retained without recourse to agency staff.

Person Specification
Proven leadership experience directing the strategy and operational plans for a wide portfolio in the Care sector preferably Care Homes
Demonstrate up to date knowledge and understanding of the Care Sector and the regulatory framework
Demonstrate commercial acumen and internal and external customer relationship management success
Proven IT experience, including Word and Excel
Able to take accountability for Health and Safety
Budget holding experience
Desirable RGN Qualified
Location: Flexible with travel to GCH Homes in Hertfordshire
