I am working with a growing insurance company in Tonbridge who are seeking a motor Personal Injury Claims Handler to join their team.
The purpose of the motor Personal Injury Claims Handler is to review and negotiate high value Personal Injury Claims.
Role and responsibilities for the Personal Injury Claims Handler:
- Assessing indemnity, investigating liability and quantum on motor claims, ensuring that each claim is dealt with thoroughly to limit indemnity spend
- Proactively managing a caseload ensuring that correspondence and tasks are dealt within the SLA’s
- Negotiating settlement of third-party claims
- Improve customer claims experience by identifying process / control gaps in legal defence panel performance and agreeing relevant actions.
- Maintaining a high degree of technical knowledge and to keep abreast of market and legal updates
- Support cost, service, and process efficiency projects across the department, as well as participating in departmental projects.
To be successful in this Personal Injury Claims Handler role, you will need:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience of handling Technical Personal Injury Claims
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be capable and confident negotiator
- Time management and organisation skills
- Have a good knowledge of indemnity and liability
- Good track record of dealing with fast-track bodily Injury Claims
