Merrifield Consultants are very pleased to be partnering with an incredible Children's Hospice to find them a Philanthropy and Partnerships Manager with a key focus on Major Donor and Corporate fundraising.

SALARY - £35,235 to £39,769 (dependent on experience)

LOCATION - Barnet (North London)

HOURS - 37.5

CONTRACT- Permanent

This Children's Hospice is one of the UK's leading children hospices, as they provide care and support for over 350 children and their families. Using a wide range of holistic and clinical services, with equal focus on both, they are able to offer as much choice as possible to children and their families whether it's at home, in the community or at state-of-the-art hospice building completed in 2019.

To carry on and continue this incredible work, this hospice put great investment into the fundraising team as well as other departments making it an exciting time of growth and ensuring the amazing care being offered that much more possible.

Main responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Head of Philanthropy & Partnerships to build on supporter stewardship strategies for existing portfolios
  • Work collaboratively with your job share colleague on 'new business' strategies to generate fresh income from Corporate Partners and Major Donors
  • Ensure all relationship management is underpinned by systematic processes and first-class relationship building, engendering trust, long-term passion and regular support
  • Prepare and deliver impactful and engaging presentations to Major Donors and Corporate Partners (both at one-to-one and group level), outlining the charities progress and plans, and tailoring to each audience.
  • Co-lead on establishing a clear Corporate and Major Donor pipeline, including systems and processes for identification of and applications to prospective supporters. This will include crafting excellent Corporate Partnership applications, as well as supporting colleagues with applications they are leading on

Knowledge and skills

  • Experience of Major Donor and/or Corporate fundraising
  • Highly successful relationship building skills, having built a portfolio of supporters, including through face-to-face meetings and telephone conversations.
  • Experience of managing others to deliver exceptional results.
  • Excellent administration skills with a sound working knowledge of a relationship database, Windows-based software, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent spoken and written use of English language in order to present relevant detail clearly and concisely.
  • Full UK driving license required.
