Back End Developer
Who are they?
I'm working with a Leeds based Digital agency who specialise in branding, web design and digital marketing. They are focused on user accessibility and put people at the heart of everything they do. They work with dozens of local clients and have retained several key accounts for nearly a decade. Their main purpose is to create bespoke websites and improve accessibility, transform social media marketing output and overall company branding and marketing. Their client's range across all different sectors such as e-com, hospitality, and financial consultancies.
Who they're looking for?
They are looking for a Backend Developer to join the team. You'd be one of a couple of working alongside the Web Development team, as well as cross-communications with Marketing and Planning teams. The company are in a fortunate position where they are looking to expand after a consistent couple of years of winning and retaining clients. you'll be involved in coding a range of interactive websites ranging from bespoke applications to e-commerce and CMS's.
What will I be doing?
Working alongside the web development team and web designers to create bespoke websites for their clients. You'll be expected to maintain best practices and set the standards within the Dev team.
Required skills:
The company work mainly with PHP as their back-end language, so experience with this essential. Ideally, you'll have experience working with Laravel as well, but they will consider other PHP framework experience, as long as you're happy to cross-train. Any exposure to Front End technologies would be a bonus.
Who am I?
They're looking for someone that works well within a team, so prior examples of this would be beneficial. Flexibility is essential in this business; therefore you must be proactive and prepared to learn new approaches that will assist you in your role and establish yourself as a key member and leader of the team.
