St Margaret’s Hospice Care has a fantastic opportunity for a Physiotherapist or Developmental Physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary palliative care team. Based in Taunton, you will join us on a full time, permanent basis and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £32,414 - £40,888 per annum, depending on experience.Although this is a full-time role, we understand that different ways of working suit different people which is why we are open to a part time working patterns.

What can you expect to be doing?
We support palliative patients at all stages of their journey, from diagnosis to end stage disease, offering preventative, restorative, supportive and palliative rehabilitation and intervention – and you will be a key part of that.
Your day-to-day role will involve:
- Based in our multi-disciplinary Therapy Team, you will work in the Hospice and in the community to support patients in a variety of settings; in-patient, outpatient, Day Centre or in their own homes.
- Using holistic approach, you will undertake assessments as well as plan and deliver high quality patient care.
- With your expertise and lived experience, you will be able to contribute to the evaluation and development of our services.
With ongoing investment in your professional and personal development, we will help you to develop and enhance your existing skills, knowledge and experience. You will also have full access to in-service training and courses on and off site to support your CPD.

What will you be good at?
We offer ongoing support, training and guidance to help you be the best you can be. You will:
- Be qualified as a Physiotherapist
- Be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council
- Have demonstrable experience in a variety of clinical settings and transferrable skills.
Access to own transport is required to travel with equipment across the locality during a normal working day.

- Self-awareness - Can demonstrate a clear understanding of palliative care and the needs of patients and families.
- Working with others - Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to liaise effectively with patients, the multidisciplinary team and across organisations and individuals at a range of levels.
- Outcomes and results - Can demonstrate sound clinical decision making in the assessment of patients and the implementation and evaluation of treatment plans plus patient centred short and long-term goals.
- Leading in your area - In-depth postgraduate experience or study of a range of relevant topics at post-graduate diploma level or equivalent.
