The opportunity
Graduate Futures plays a key role in improving student experience, retention and attainment. It enables our students and graduates to fulfil their career ambitions by acknowledging their individuality, support their growth and connecting and collaborating with alumni and industry partners.
As a Placements Officer, you will support the undergraduate placement activity, playing a key part in the development of employability within the curriculum, as well engagement with existing industry contacts in order to generate student work opportunities for long and short term accredited placements. You will work flexibly as a member of the team providing administrative support for placements to students, industry and academics.
In turn you will build and nurture links across the University and other external organisations to amplify opportunities for cooperation and collaboration across the Graduate Futures & Business Innovation team to maximise the potential of the resources and expertise available.
About you
Educated to A level standard (or relevant experience), you will have an understanding of client relationship building techniques and experience of providing effective administration in a fast moving environment. You will be a team player who can communicate and plan your own work effectively. Previous experience of careers coaching and advice giving will be advantageous.
