Our client, a Local Authority based in the North West, are seeking a Planning Officer to join their Development Management team on a contract basis. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the planning and development process within a dynamic and supportive environment.
Job Requirements
- Significant experience in Development Management and Town Planning.
- Strong knowledge of planning legislation and regulations.
- Ability to review and assess planning applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail with good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and assess planning applications, providing recommendations.
- Conduct site visits and prepare reports.
- Ensure compliance with planning policies, regulations, and guidelines.
- Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to resolve planning-related issues.
- Provide advice and guidance to external parties on planning matters.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of planning strategies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation.
